Landfill & General MaintenanceEnviroscapes has conducted landscape maintenance activities at over 30 landfill sites. Our services include mowing, weed trimming, fertilizing, and seeding. We have been tasked to rototill infiltration basin floors to improve the basin permeability, repair erosion ruts and eroded side slopes caused by surface water runoff. Other maintenance activities have included controlling invasive species using a licensed herbicide applicator. Enviroscapes has conducted drainage channel maintenance, re-grading, re-seeding, and mulching. Enviroscapes also conducted stormwater drainage channel maintenance cutting bushes, saplings, and other large vegetation from within the riprap drainage channels. Cutting in accessible areas was done using a CAT 277 tracked skid steer with ambusher attachment. The ambusher attachment cuts shrubs and small diameter trees in-place. Areas not accessible to equipment were cut by hand using chain saws and hand held weed trimmers. Enviroscapes has cleared access and unpaved roads from landfill to groundwater monitoring wells and cut and removed fallen trees/branches from the roadway. Enviroscapes has cut entire landfill caps (approximately 25 acres to 110 acres) to within ten (10) inches of ground surface. This included all areas inside the perimeter fence including all slopes. Enviroscapes has also trimmed weeds around all concrete barriers, as well as vegetation along the perimeter fence and vegetation along the access road. Lastly, our services have included clearing security fences of growth inside and outside the landfill boundaries and minor fence repair. |
